FRANCIS L TABOR
Francis Levinge and Kathleen Anne Tabor (Residents 1932-1962)
Francis L Tabor was born in Dikoya, Ceylon in 1882, son of Arthur Tabor, a tea planter. He went to Trinity College, Cambridge in 1900.
He was Assistant Commissioner in Southern Nigeria.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Middleburg, South Africa, in 1905-1907 and in Lagos, Nigeria in 1910.
Francis moved to Rastgarth in 1933 and married Kathleen Anne Beresford in 1934.
In 1939, he described himself as a retired colonial civil servant.
Francis died in 1940 and is buried at Magdalen Hill Cemetery, Winchester. (Plot MMM 40)
Kathleen continued to live at Rathgarth until (at least) 1960. She re-married in 1950 to Arthur F Basset. She died in 1962 in Winchester and is buried with Francis at Magdalen Hill Cemetery.
